We operate our own in-house school meal service.  Our cook and assistant cooks are highly trained and have always received a 5-star food hygiene rating. We were also awarded Gold Star status as a highly recommended place to eat. This is a scheme run by Basildon Council. All our food is fresh and prepared on site. The school has achieved the National Healthy Schools Award.

The current cost of our meals for KS2 from September 2022 is £3.00. We encourage all our pupils to have a school meal, if not every day, at least for part of the week and we invite parents in at different times throughout the year to share a family lunch session. We also plan a number of themed meals throughout the year. (Please note that prices may vary for themed lunches)

School menus are created on a three-week rotational system and the Pupil Council meet with our kitchen staff to make suggestions and offer feedback on the choice of meals. Menus are seasonal and are sent out each term; they can also be viewed on our website. We offer 4 options each day including a meat, vegetarian, jacket potato and a cold option (including a sandwich/wrap/pasta/roll). Meals can be ordered an a daily basis by your child.
